Glenn Beck is a conservative American political commentator, author, television host, and the CEO of Mercury Radio Arts. He was born in Everett, Washington, and raised in Mount Vernon, Washington. He dropped out of high school at seventeen, and later earned his GED. He worked at a series of odd jobs, including as a stock boy, insurance salesman, and a radio announcer. He began his broadcasting career in the early 1990s at local radio stations. In 1996, he was hired by Fox News, and later became a nationally syndicated talk show host with Premiere Radio Networks. He has authored six New York Times-bestselling books. Beck is the founder and CEO of Mercury Radio Arts, a multimedia production company through which he produces content for radio, television, publishing, the stage, and the Internet.
